This Week In Books

My Week In Books 8/15 – 8/21

Hello bookworms!!

So, I saw the hand specialist this week. He gave me an injection in my left wrist and asked me to give him one more month of physical therapy because he wants the therapists to focus on a nerve in my elbow. I don’t have a follow up appointment with him until September 30th. I will be starting therapy tomorrow and honestly; I don’t have any hopes that it is going to work this time, but I said I would give him a month so that’s what I am going to do. One good thing that happened this week is that someone surprised me and gifted me a new kindle. I’ve never owned an actual kindle before, but I’ve always wanted one. I am so grateful to the person who gifted this to me, and I can’t wait to start using it. Right now, I’m a little afraid to use it because I need to get a case for it. As for what I’ve read this week I managed to finish 2 books this week both of which were for blog tours. Here’s a look at what my reading has looked like this week.

~ Recently Finished ~

The first book I finished this week was The Split by Amanda Brookfield. I was liking this book but at the same time I was kind of board and not really caring about what was happening. I then read Summer Showers at Elder Fell Farm by Liz Taylorson. I really enjoyed this book. I loved the romance but would have liked to see more of the actual romance. I thought it was cute and there was a lot of character growth.

~ Currently Reading ~

I’m buddy reading Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare with Erin. I’m currently 12 chapters into this book which is 38% of the book. I am really enjoying this one. A lot has happened right from the get-go in this book which is a welcome change. I’m currently 20% into this book and really liking it. I will be finishing this one tonight because I am on the blog tour for it tomorrow.

~ Reading Next ~

These are the last 6 books on my TBR for this month. I will be reading Invitation to Hell next because I am on the blog tour for that one on Friday. After that I’m not sure which one I will pick up but I will be choosing from this list. There’s only a week and a half left of this month so I doubt I will get all 6 of these read but I am hoping to get through at least half of these.

What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?

    1. It’s been a week since I got the injection at first it felt like it was filling the pain a little bit but now it’s not doing anything. Oh I know physical therapy can help for sure I’m just skeptical because I have done it before for 2-3 months and there was no change.
