#20BooksofSummer22 Wrap Up

20 books of summer

Hello bookworms!!

I’m a little late getting this post out but I’m finally sharing my #20BooksofSummer22 wrap up. If you didn’t know this is a reading challenge that Cathy from 746Books hosts every year. The goal is to read 10, 15 or 20 books from June 1 – September 1 and review those books. This year I picked out 15 books and left 5 spots open for mood reads. Here’s what I had hoped to read and what I ended up reading.

  1. The Insurgent by Teri Polen
  2. Fake It Till You Bake It by Jamie Wesley
  3. The Watchers by John Reid
  4. Dead Drift by Kelly Romo
  5. The Survivors by T.C. Weber
  6. If She Only Knew by Eva MacKenzie
  7. Booked on a Feeling by Jayci Lee
  8. The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh
  9. Sadie by Courtney Summers
  10. Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley
  11. The Book of Accidents by Chuck Wendig
  12. The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman
  13. King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

And here are the 5 books I used as mood reads

  1. The Elephant Girl by Henriette Gyland
  2. Village of Salt and Sorrow by Laura Holt
  3. Come True: A Bomb-Ass Genie Romance by Brindi Quinn
  4. I Am Not Ok by K. Lucas
  5. Under the Dome by Stephen King

So, as you can see, I didn’t read the full 20 books. I only managed to read 13 books this time which is 2 less books than last year but I am still counting this as a success because while I only read 13 books from my original TBR I still managed to read an additional 31 books for a total of 44 books read over the summer. I apparently just have a hard time sticking to my TBR when it comes to this challenge. Did you participate in the #20BooksofSummer challenge this year? How did you do? I already can’t wait for the next round of this reading challenge next year. I hope Cathy decides to host it again.
