January TBR

TBR

Hello bookworms!!

I have a lot of reading plans for this year, and I am so excited to get started with them. Today I am sharing everything I hope to read in January but as always, I hope to get through more than what I talk about in these posts these are more or less my priorities for the month.

The Assassin’s Blade – I have owned the entire Thorne of Glass series for like 3 years now so I am happy to say I am finally going to be reading them this year and I’m starting with The Assassin’s Blade. I am buddy reading this series with Destiny and her partner and we’ve already started on this one.

The Red Scrolls of Magic – Another buddy read and this one is with Erin. We have been buddy reading something every single month for well over a year now. We are getting back to the Shadowhunterverse this month with this one and I am really excited about it because MALEC!!

Night Shift – This is January’s pick for the #KeeperofKing readalong group I participate in over on Instagram. I went back and forth on whether or not I wanted to continuing with this this year but in the end I decided to stick with it because I really am enjoying it.

Ninth House – And here is another book I am buddy reading this month. This one I am buddy reading with Luna. I bought this in November and Luna asked me if I would be interested in buddy reading and of course I said yes.

The Bookish Life of Nina Hill – I’m participating in the Buzzwordathon again this year and January’s prompt is “life or death”. Surprisingly I didn’t have a whole lot of books with life or death but I did come across this one and I’ve been wanting to read so so what better time than now.

Marlowe Banks, Redesigned – Romanceopoly is back this year and I had to join in. My first roll landed me on Flirts Corner and the prompt is to read a contemporary romance by an author you haven’t tried before. This is also on my NetGalley shelf so 2 birds 1 stone.

Kingdom of the Feared – I meant to get to this one in December but alas that didn’t happen and I still really want to read it so I am hoping to finally get to it this month.

Collision – I used a random spinner wheel to pick this book. I read my first book by this author last month and I really enjoyed that one so I am looking forward to getting to this one.

If the Duke Demands – I decided to go ahead and do my first 2 rolls for Romanceopoly and for this one I landed on Past Eaves and the prompt was read the historical romance that’s been on your TBR the longest.

Whiteout – This is the Lost in Romance Book Club pick for January. This is a book club I cohost with my friend Michelle. This probably wouldn’t be a book I would have picked up on my own but I am really looking forward to reading it.

These are my 10 priority reads for January. Some of them work towards some of the challenges I plan to participate in this year, some are buddy reads and some are just ones that I really want to read “cough” looking at you Kingdom of the Feared “cough”. Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What do you plan to read in January?

  1. You have a few here I’ve read – The Assassin’s Blade, The Bookish Life of Nina Hill, and Kingdom of the Feared. For Buzzwordathon I’m currently reading The Overdue Life of Amy Byler. I’ll have to add Whiteout to my list to read this month.
