Hello bookworms!!
January is coming to an end but before that I have one last weekly update for January to share with y’all. This week was another pretty laid back week. I did meet up with a friend at her moms house where we ate fajitas which I have been craving for months now. Other than that I’ve mostly just been sitting at home reading. I also watched a couple movies this week. The first one was Shotgun Wedding on Amazon Prime. And the second one was A Perfect Pairing on Netflix. A Perfect Pairing was the better of the 2 in my opinion. Anyways enough blabbing lets get to the books.
~ Recently Finished ~
I finished 3 books this week. The first book I finished was The Red Scrolls of Magic by Cassandra Clare. I was buddy reading this one with Erin and I absolutely loved it. Can we please get more books with Magnus and Alec. Next up I read If the Duke Demands by Anna Harrington. This was a book I read for Romanceopoly and I ended up enjoying this one too. It was funny and sexy and just what I needed between fantasy reads. Last but not least I finally read Kingdom of the Feared by Kerri Maniscalso. This was a most anticipated book for me last year but I only got around to reading it now and of course I loved it. Honestly, Kerri Maniscalco can do no wrong in my book. I’ve already preordered her next book Throne of the Fallen and I can’t wait to read it.
~ Currently Reading ~
As of when I am writing this (6pm Sunday) I haven’t started a new book yet. I just finished Kingdom of the Feared a couple hours ago and decided to take a bit of a reading break for a little bit but I do know what book I will be picking up next.
~ Reading Next ~
There’s only one book left on my TBR for this month and that is The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman. By the time you are seeing this I might have already started it if I get the urge to read again today (Sunday) before bed but if not I will for sure be starting it today and hopefully finishing it before the end of the month.
What have you recently finished reading? What do you plan to read next? What are you currently reading? Have you read any of the books I mentioned in this post?
We also watched Shotgun Wedding over the weekend, and neither of us was crazy about it. Maybe we’ll have better luck with the other movie you mentioned. Have a great week, Misty!

I didn’t hate Shotgun Wedding but there’s was just something about it that made me not love it either. I hope you enjoy the other movie if y’all watch it. Thank you and I hope you do as well.

I watched Shotgun Wedding last night- good but not great. I also watched the new Lara Croft- now that was great!

I agree about Shotgun Wedding. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a Lara Croft movie.
