This Week In Books

My Week In Books 1/30 – 2/5

Hello bookworms!!

Nothing interesting happened this week so I guess I will just jump straight into talking about the books. This was the first week of February and if you saw my February TBR post then you know that this month I am going to be attempting to read 28 books in 28 days. Lets take a look at how I did the first week of the month.

~ Recently Finished ~

I finished 6 books this week. The first book The Bookish Life of Nina Hill was finished the last day of January so it doesn’t count toward my February challenge. I liked this book but it wasn’t a favorite. Now to the books I’ve read in February so far. I’ve read 5 books so far this month so that means I am on track for my 28 in 28 challenge. All of these are short books like less than 200 pages short but for me they still count. Anyways I read Two Scoops of Hellfire which I thought was good. This mostly focuses on the steam if you know what I mean. I then went on to read The Glass Mermaid which again I liked it and it was a quick read but I was just eh about it. Next up was The Lost Sisters which is the novella in the Folk of the Air series and honestly I found this to be pretty pointless. For the Sake of was the next book I read and all I have to say about it right now is what the hell did I read? Extreme horror is definitely not for me. Last but not least and probably my favorite read of the week was Centaur & Sensibility. I honestly didn’t think I would enjoy this one as much as I did. Obviously you have to suspend disbelief but it was so cute.

~ Currently Reading ~

I started my reread of The Belles with Erin this week. So far I’m 84 pages into it and I’m still enjoying it but I’m thinking of/noticing things that I didn’t catch onto the first time around. I also started The House Across the Lake which I wasn’t even planning to read this month but it became available on Libby and I am tired of pushing back my holds so I said what the heck I might as well just go ahead and read it. I managed to get 30% into it and I am enjoying it but so far there’s not really a whole lot of thriller/suspense happening. Last but not least I started Throne of Glass which I am buddy reading with Destiny and her partner. I only managed to read 50 pages of it but I’m liking it and I am intrigued.

~ Reading Next ~

I still have 7 books on my main TBR that I need to start but these will most likely be the first ones I pick up out of those 7.

What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?

    1. Thank you!! It’s definitely ambitious. I’ve never read that many books in a month before but for some reason I all of a sudden thought it would be a fun challenge for myself so here we are 😂 I do have a list of a lot of short books so that’s helping me with it so far. I wasn’t hating it while I was reading it I thought it was going to lead up to something but then all of a sudden it ended and I was like really I just read a book about something that I have already read just to get Taryn being a whiny brat. I hope you have a great week as well!!
