Hello bookworms!!
Sorry this is going up later than usual. I typically schedule these posts the night before but time got away with me last night so I am typing this up right before it goes live. I had my follow up appointment with my heart doctor on Tuesday and he’s decided he wants me to get some blood work done and wear a heart monitor for 2 weeks so he can monitor my heart for a longer period of time so he can be more confident about saying my heart is not the problem. I have the appointment for both of these things on Friday. As for reading I did finish a couple books this week and made progress in others.
~ Recently Finished ~
I only finished 2 books this week and they were both buddy reads. The first book I finished was They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera. This book has been on my TBR for years and I am so glad that Jonny suggested it for our next buddy read because I ended up loving it. I had to dock off a half star for a couple of reasons which you will see in my review coming up but 4.5 stars is a great rating. Last but not least Destiny and I are buddy reading the entire Throne of Glass series this year and the book we just finished was Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas and lets just say I need to start the next book ASAP!!
~ Currently Reading ~
I was able to read another 25% of Sleeping Beauties by Stephen and Owen King this week so I am now exactly halfway through it. I’m still very much intrigued by it and want to know what is going on I just really hope we start getting answers soon. Last but not least I started Tattered Stars by Catherine Cowles. This is the March pick for the Lost in Romance Book Club which I cohost with Michelle. I only managed to read 27 pages so I don’t really have much of an opinion yet but from what I’ve read so far it sounds like it is going to have a trope that I don’t particularly like and that’s a small town where everybody hates the main character for the majority of the book but in the end they grow to love them. I’m hoping it will prove me wrong but I’m not so sure.
~ Reading Next ~
The only book left on my March TBR is House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland. My goal is to get through my current reads and this one by the end of the month. Although I don’t think I will be finishing Sleeping Beauties this month because Nina and I only read so much each week for our discussions so this one will most likely carry into April. So my goal is to just finish Tattered Stars and House of Hollow. Can I finish 2 books in 5 days? I guess we will find out soon enough.
What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?
I’m so glad you liked They Both Die at the End. I remember really enjoying that one when I read it!! And I can’t wait to continue our series read!

I can’t believe I waited so long to pick it up. The same goes with our buddy read books. I really need to stop putting off reading books lol.

Hope you get good news with your Dr. appts. And I can give you some smaller scale good news. You are incorrect about Tattered Stars. While the brother to the kidnapped girl isn’t nice during their first couple meetings, his opinion rapidly changes. And the rest of his family is great to her right from the start. They fully embrace her and go above and beyond to help her out. It’s completely heartwarming, and I think you’ll really enjoy it! Can’t wait to see what you think.
