Monthly Wrap Up

24 Hour Read-a-thon Wrap Up (July 2018)

Wrap Up

Hello bookworms!!

This weekend I participated in a monthly 24 hour read-a-thon that is hosted by Lili and Noriko. If you follow me on Twitter you probably already know how I did but I wanted to share what I managed to read this time around. When this read-a-thon started I was still in the middle of the 7in7 Read-a-thon so I ended up just reading books that were on that TBR. Just like last month I didn’t read for a full 24 hours but I am happy with what I accomplished so lets see what I read.

Echoes

When the clock hit 8PM on Friday I picked up this poetry collection called Echoes by E.F. Rose. I wanted to start with something I knew I could get through quickly and I knew starting with poetry would accomplish that. It only took me 30 minutes to finish this.

Broken

From 9-10 I read Broken by Ashton Blackthorne and I made it 52% of the way through it before I decided to call it a night. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to read through the night because I would be keeping my husband awake if I did.

IT stephen

Saturday morning I woke up at 5:30 but it took me a little bit to get fully awake but as soon as that happened I started reading. From 7:15-8:15 I managed to listen to 66 pages of It by Stephen King. I just realized I read a little bit of this for the last 24 hour read-a-thon as well. I still haven’t finished this but the end is in sight guys.

I had some errands to run Saturday morning so when I got back home I started reading Broken by Ashton Blackthorne again and I read from 11-12 which brought me to the end of that book.

Heart's a Mess

After I finished Broken I was so tired for some reason so I ended up taking a nap. I woke up around 2:30 but of course I had to get fully awake and eat something before I started reading. I picked up Heart’s a Mess by Kylie Scott at 4 and finished it at 5:30. After finishing this I was debating on whether or not I should start another book because I still had two and a half hours left but ultimately I decided not to because I wasn’t feeling to good.

Final Results

Total hours read: 5

Total books read: 4

Total books completed: 3

Total pages read: 360 pages

So glad I was able to participate for the second month in a row. I ended up reading less hours and less pages this time but I read and finished more books. I am really happy with what I managed to accomplish this time around and I hope I will be able to participate again next month.

      1. Are you sure? hehe… I’ll keep this in mind and when the time comes, I’ll keep in touch with you maybe on twitter so we really start at the same time.. Actually Nori and is I think almost an hour apart though we both live in Asia. But it’s not that long of a difference so it’s okay. 🙂

  1. Thanks for participating, Misty! We were so glad to have you with us! As you said, pagecount doesn’t matter – we need to keep reminding ourselves 🙂

    1. Heart’s A Mess was my first book by this author. I’ve heard of her before but for some reason I just never read any of her books. After reading this one though I definitely want to read more by her. Thank you I hope you like this book if you read it.
