Hello bookworms!!
If you didn’t know already I attempted to read 28 books in 28 days in February and to help me with that I’ve been reading a lot of short books. At this point I have read 28 books in total and I’ve come to realize that I don’t have a whole lot to say about most of them so I though I would bring back the mini reviews this month to help me get through these reviews quicker plus I feel like I am going to be saying a lot of the same things for a lot of these. Anyways lets get into the next 5 books shall we.
This was a reread for me. I wanted to finally read the final book in this duology but I needed to refresh my memory on what happened in this book. Here’s the link to the review I wrote the first time I read this book. I pretty much feel the exact same way after reading it for the second time although because it was a reread I wasn’t sucked in as much as I was the first time. I left the rating the same because I did still really enjoy it.
My Rating: 4.5 stars
This book picks up 2 months after the events of the first book I believe and Caden and Makenna have been inseparable since then but other factors are going to test them. In this book Caden gets to meet Makenna’s family as well as an ex boyfriend which I honestly feel like that could have been left out because there was enough drama without him adding to it but that being sad he’s a big reason why we get a look at the mental health struggle that Caden goes through. He’s had it under control for years but things happen in this book to make him kind of spiral. I feel like the author portrayed this really well. I don’t have any personal experience with this but just reading about his spiral had me feeling like I was spiraling right along side him. I do wish there was a little more communication but I understand why there wasn’t. Overall I’m glad I finally read this duology and I did enjoy this conclusion.
My Rating: 4 stars
This is the second book in the A Touch of Taboo series by Katee Robert and I enjoyed it slightly more that I did the first book. This one worked for me in a way the first book didn’t. I wasn’t questioning any of the characters or their decisions of why they were doing what they were doing or how they could do what they were doing. This storyline just made sense. Of course this is a steamy book that get a tiny bit serious in the end. The only thing I wish we would have gotten is a little more backstory on Derek and Grayson’s feelings for each other.
My Rating: 4.5 stars
This book is inspired by Beauty and the Beast and if you didn’t know I will read anything based off of Beauty and the Beast because it’s a favorite. This is a second chance insta love romance. This was a quick read and I enjoyed it while I was reading it but there were a couple of things that made me cringe a little bit. I did like this book and I want to read the other books in this series.
My Rating: 4 stars
I had seen this book here and there but I wasn’t all that interested in reading it but I started seeing it more and more especially by people I follow and trust and I finally decided to give it a try because I ended up loving it. This book was ridiculous in the best way. It’s funny at times as well as steamy with some action thrown in as well. I honestly didn’t expect to love this as much as I did. It’s definitely a favorite of the year so far.
My Rating: 5 stars
Just the title “That Time I Got Drunk And Saved A Demon” sounds great haha glad you liked it.

I just added Beauty in Spring to my TBR. Just can’t get enough Beauty and the Beast retellings. I’ve been wanting to read Lemming’s series. I hear the books are a lot of fun. Glad you loved this one!

If it’s a Beauty and the Beast retelling you better believe I’m going to add it to my TBR. I hope you enjoy it!! I read several of her books in February.

I really like Laura Kaye’s writing. I haven’t read that duology though. Great mini reviews!
