This Week In Books

My Week In Books 3/13 – 3/19

Hello bookworms!!

Another boring week in my household so I am just going to jump straight into the books because I got a lot of reading done this week. I finished several of my on going books and started others.

~ Recently Finished ~

I finished 5 books this week. The first one I finished was In Harmony by Emma Scott. This is only my second book by this author but it’s my favorite by her so far. I then finished Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas. I am buddy reading this entire series with Destiny and I am having so much fun. This book is where I finally got really pulled into the story even though it is mainly because of the romance. I finished my reread of The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton which I buddy read with Erin. My thoughts are still pretty much the same on this book. I enjoyed it slightly more than the first book but still had issues with it. Next up was Legendborn by Tracy Deonn. I struggled to get into this one. It took over half of the book for me to be really sucked in. Also I don’t recommend listening to the audiobook because the narrator makes Bree come off as very whiny which is a big reason I struggled. Last but not least was Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon which I really enjoyed. I thought this was cute and funny while also tackling hard topics.

~ Currently Reading ~

I didn’t make any progress in Sleeping Beauties by Stephen and Owen King this week so I’m still only 25% into it. I plan on picking this one back up sometime today. I did start All Our Darkest Secrets by Martyn Ford but I only got 4% into it. I don’t think I am in the mood to read this book right now so I might switch this one out for another book with the word secret in the title since I am reading it for buzzwordathon. Last but not least I started Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas and managed 75 pages which was only 13% of the book. We are getting introduced to several new characters in this book and I am looking forward to seeing where it goes.

~ Reading Next ~

The first 2 books are the books that are left on my March TBR that I haven’t started yet. The last 2 books are last minute additions that I would like to read as well. I don’t know If I will be able to read all of these plus the ones I am currently reading by the end of the month but I’m sure going to try.

What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I metnioned?

  1. So many of these look really cool, and I’m definitely adding a few to my TBR. I didn’t love Legendborn at the start, but I did end up really enjoying it later on (but maybe that’s just because I love the idea of secret societies haha). I love the cover for House of Hollow, so that’s something I’m definitely planning on reading soon!!
