The only book I finished this week was Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff and I freaking loved it. I can’t believe I waited so long to start this series.
I am currently in the middle of three books 2 of which I was reading while I was reading Illuminae but I didn’t manage to finish those. By now y’all know everything I have to say about IT by Stephen King. Yes I am still reading it but I have been making progress on it during this round of Tome Topple. I have read 480 pages out of 1,156. Next up I am listening to the audiobook of Anne of Green Gables and I am loving it. I am 66% of the way through it and I am hoping to finish it today. Last up I have Gemina. After I finished Illuminae yesterday I had to immediately pick this up. I am already a little over 100 pages into it.
I plan to continue on reading IT because I really want to finish that book already and then of course as soon as I finish Gemina I will start Obsidio because I am obsessed.
Credit as always to The Book Date. Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What have you been reading lately? How has your week been so far?
I’m reading Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating, listening to The Poppy War And want to read LifeL1K3 soon.

I’m reading a few books at the moment haha I’m focusing on The Woman in Cabin 10. What do you think of IT so far?

Yeah that’s how it was with me. I was reading 3 books last week but I focused more on Illuminae. I am still struggling with IT. There’s not really a whole lot happening but I am holding out hope for it.

If I ever finish IT this will be the second book I’ve read of his.

Ah I’ve just bought Illuminae, need to get round to reading it asap! I’m reading ‘The Silent Companions’ atm and really enjoying it. It’s made me want to start reading more horror, so definitely going to be reading some more Stephen King soon too!

I hope you love Illuminae as much as I did when you get around to reading it. I don’t think I’ve heard of The Silent Companions before. I want to start reading more horror but I just don’t know if Stephen King is the right author for me.

It’s a debut novel by Laura Purcell and I’m loving it so far! I haven’t read ‘IT’ so I’m not sure whether I’d enjoy King or not either really.

Oh ok that’s probably why I haven’t heard of it yet. I’ve only read 1 other book by him and that was The Shining. I do manage to make it through that one and it took me an entire both to finish it. He is so overly descriptive.

Ahh right, I never really enjoy overly-descriptive books so I don’t think it’ll be for me – but I’ll give one a try at some point! But I have plenty of other books on my TBR list atm haha

I have a couple of his books on my shelf that I am willing to give a try but so far he’s not my favorite. Yeah I probably want read another book by him for at least a few months lol.

I only just started reading again as I’ve been s busy these past few months. So to get me back into the reading mood I’ve picked up Norwegian Wood from my favorite author, Haruki Murakami. As always, it’s twisted and super surreal so I’m enjoying it so far, though a bit confused and lost at times – lol.

I saw that you’ve had a lot going on the past few months. I hope things start to slow down for you some. I haven’t read anything by that author but I’ve heard a lot of people talk about him.

I actually just won a copy of Illuminae, so perhaps having the physical copy will be the kick I need to finally read it! ❤

I don’t remember ever reading it before now. It’s possible I did but I just don’t remember it because I have the worst memory.
