It’s Monday What Are You Reading?

What I Recently Finished Reading

To All the Boys I've Loved Before

I only finished one book this week and that was To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. I’ve had this book since March of this year and for some reason I just never read it before now. When I found out that Netflix was releasing a movie I knew I had to hurry up and read it so I could watch the movie. I have now done both and I really enjoyed both. I now want to continue on with the trilogy.

What I'm Currently Reading

When the Serpent BitesThe Inevitable Collision of Birdie & BashThe Pirates BootyHopelessMisery

If you follow me on Goodreads it says I am currently reading these 5 books when honestly I’m only actively reading 2 of them. I haven’t made any progress in When The Serpent Bites or The Inevitable Collision of Birdie and Bash since June. I started The Pirate’s Booty on August 25 but I only read 8% of it. I am going to be reading that one between other books I am reading. The 2 books that I started yesterday are Hopeless by Colleen Hoover which I am buddy reading with Noriko and I’ve read 67 pages of it so far and Misery by Stephen King which I am reading as part of #oneweekofmisery on Instagram and have read 50 pages. Y’all know I haven’t had the best of luck with his books but so far this one is promising.

What I Plan To Read Next

img_4368The Outsiders

This months The BookBum Club theme is back to school related and I have chose these 2 books to read. I’ve been wanting to read The Great Gatsby for a while and I will be listening to The Outsiders on Scribd which will actually be a reread for me.

Credit as always to The Book Date. Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What have you been reading lately? What are your reading plans for the week? I’m really hoping that I end up liking Misery by Stephen King more than I liked the other 2 books I have read by him.

  1. I love The Great Gatsby! I hope you enjoy it. Some people find it underwhelming, but with classics I find myself liking to look at Sparknotes or similar websites, even though I’m not in school anymore just to help me focus on the important things I may not notice on my own. ^_^

      1. It might! I find it has helped me change my opinions on books sometimes, or not my opinions per se but appreciation for them…yeah!

    1. I’m trying to work my way through some classics. I struggle with classics so I hope I end up liking The Great Gatsby. I think I might be continuing on with the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before Trilogy this month I haven’t decided yet. I’ve only read It Ends With Us and November 9 by Colleen Hoover. November 9 was favorite out of the 2.
