It’s Monday What Are You Reading?

This week I managed to finish 4 books. All of my reviews are up on Goodreads already but I haven’t shared all of them on here yet but they will be coming soon. I will leave the links to my Goodreads if you want to see what I think of each book. The first book I finished this week was A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle. This was the first book we read for the #CatchUpOnClassics read-a-longs and I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. The next book I finished was Pet Sematary by Stephen King. Every month I read a Stephen King book as part of the Stephen King read-a-long that I participate in. We read this over 2 weeks and had discussions about it. For me personally I really liked it. King is still very wordy but I found this one easier to read. A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro was the bonus book this month for #CatchUpOnClassics. Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy this one as much as I did the original one. Last up I finished The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon it was my 3rd #JanJamJar pick. At first I was struggling to get into it but then it hooked me and I ended up enjoying it.

I am only currently reading 1 book right now and that is Rhythm, Chord & Malykhin by Mariana Zapata. I am reading this for #Romanaceopoly I have to admit that I was a little worried going into this but as of right now I am 25% through it and I am enjoying it. It has had me laughing out loud several times.

 

My next #JanJamJar pick was The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. I’ve been wanting to read this for so long so I am glad it was the book that got drawn. This weekend is the 24in48 read-a-thon as well as the dayathon that Lili and Nori host every month. This month both of these read-a-thons fall on the same day so I am doing both of them. Me and Lili will be buddy reading The Darkest Minds another book I’ve been meaning to get to for a while and my next #Romanceopoply book is Corrupt by Penelope Douglas so I will be working on those during the read-a-thons.
