Day-A-Thon And 24in48 Read-A-Thon Wrap Up

Wrap Up

Hello bookworms!!

Over the weekend I participated in 2 different read-a-thons. The Day-A-Thon took place on Friday and the 24in48 Read-A-Thon took place on Saturday and Sunday. Overall this weekend was a pretty successful one reading wise and I am going to talk about what I managed to get read.

I started my buddy read of The Darkest Minds with Lili who is one of the hosts of this read-a-thon. I read the first 15 chapters which was 252 pages and that put me a little over halfway through it. I then picked up The Cruel Prince I only had 177 pages left of this book when the read-a-thon started and I wanted to finish it before I went to bed so I stayed up later than I normally do to finish it. I didn’t keep track of how many hours I spent reading this time but I know it was no where near 24 hours. All in all I read 429 pages which I am happy with.

24in48 Read-A-Thon

I was way more successful with this round of this read-a-thon than I have ever been which makes me really happy. I spent 6h & 39m reading Follow You by Richard Parker which was 379 pages long. I then spent 7h & 6m listening to the audiobook of Corrupt by Penelope Douglas which was 460 pages long. And last up I spent 3h & 15m reading A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks. I didn’t mange to finish this one before the read-a-thon ended but I did read 208 pages. Overall I read 1,047 pages across 3 books and I spent a total of 17 hours reading which is the most I have ever done.

This weekend was very successful and I am really happy with what I accomplished. Did you participate in either one of these read-a-thons? What did you read? How much time did you spend reading?

  1. I had too many other more important things that I needed to do so I didn’t participate in these readathons. I also don’t have any idea on how much I read this past weekend either.
